Adelaide E. Paro

Adelaide E. (Lucas) Paro, 93, currently of 3 Church Street, Windham and formerly of 33 Beacon Hill Road, Derry, died October 12, 2007 at Windham Terrace. She was born in Laconia on July 31, 1914, the daughter of Ernest and Alice (Craig) Lucas had had been a long-time Derry resident. She had worked at Scott and Williams and also at Chelmsford Shoe and Klev-Bro in Derry. She was a lifelong musician and played organ and piano for St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Derry where she was an active member for many years. She loved horses and she and her husband provided riding stables for the children of Derry earlier in her life. Family members include her husband of 67 years, Russell Paro; and several nephews, nieces and cousins and numerous friends. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 11:00 in Union Cemetery in Laconia. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester is in charge of arrangements.
