Adma L. Solomon

Adma ( Kheriaty) Solomon, 77, of 106 Colby Court, Bedford, died December 21, 2003 at the Elliot Hospital. She was born in Manchester on May 12, 1926, the daughter of Diab and Zahia (Mansour) Kheriaty and had been a lifelong resident of the Manchester area. She attended Bakersville School and St. Joseph High School. She received her associates degree from Mt. St. Marys College in Hooksett and then received her RN degree from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She had worked as a nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital for over ten years. After that, she worked as a geriatric nurse at several local nursing homes and retired from Northwood Nursing Home. She was also a volunteer with the American Red Cross for many years. In Her Life: She was an accomplished gourmet cook and loved to cook for her family and friends, especially Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes. As a nurse, she was compassionate and loved her chosen profession. She was admired by her peers and was a caregiver at heart. She was a generous person and her home was always warm and inviting to all who knew her. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Family members include her son, Peter M. Solomon of Londonderry; a daughter, Mona Rothberg of Saratoga, NY; one granddaughter; two brothers, Dr. Francis Kheriaty of Manchester and Louis Kheriaty of Seattle, WA; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A private memorial service will take place at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
