Agorou (Tentos) Giotas, 95, of 319 Lake Avenue, died July 19, 2004 at her residence. She was born in Fourka, Greece on January 6, 1909, the daughter of Zoi and Agnes (Mokas) Tentos and had been a Manchester resident since 1963. She was a homemaker throughout her life and loved taking care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Daughters of Fourka. She belonged to St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral and was a member of the Anagenesis Society of St. George. She was the widow of Efthimios Giotas. Family members include two sons, John Giotas and Agathoklis Giotas, both of Manchester; a daughter, Mrs. George (Ziotsa) Kitsis of Manchester; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a sister, Angie Florou and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. The Trisageon service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will take place on Friday morning at 10:00 in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
