Aime J. Huard, Sr., 76, of Londonderry and Spring Hill, FL, died June 9, 2001 at the Elliot Hosptial following a brief illness. He was born in Manchester on December 29, 1924, the son of the late Joseph N. and Bernadette (Martel) Huard. Following graduation from West High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as an electrician on PC492 in South America. He was also on board the USS Intrepid on its shakedown cruise. In 1947, he founded Workplace Systems, Inc, a metal manufacturing company that sells to Fortune 500 companies around the globe. He was a former member of the Board of Trustees of Catholic Medical Center, Magdalen College and Edgewood Ranch, a home for troubled youths in Orlando, FL. He was affiliated with numerous charities throughout the world. He had been a Londonderry resident for the past forty years. He was predeceased by a son, Paul Huard. Family memebers include his wife of 57 years, Georgette Y. (Poirier) Huard; a son, Aime J. Huard, Jr. of Londonderry; four daughters, Patricia C. Zeamans of Merrimack, Anne J. O'Reilly of Bedford, Jacqueline E. Weaver of Rocky Hill, CT and Louise L. Lanctot of Bedford; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Estelle Houle of Orlando FL and Pauline St. Gelais of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in St. Jude Church, Londonderry. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
