Aime L. "Tim" Francoeur
Mr. Aime L. “Tim†Francoeur Sr., 87, of Bedford, NH died Sunday February 6, 2011 at Bedford Hills in Bedford following a period of declining health.
He was born on November 30, 1923 in Manchester, NH the son of the late Emile and Florence (Malo) Francoeur. He was raised and educated in Manchester attending Central High School. Mr. Francoeur was a lifelong resident of the area.
He worked in the textile industry for Concord Manufacturing for many years before retiring in 1972. In his younger years he had worked as a paperboy and later at Bernard Tires.
Mr. Francoeur enjoyed watching movies and tinkering with the car. He like going for rides especially to the ocean and the mountains. He was delighted to have been driven up to the top of Mount Washington. While at the nursing home Tim enjoyed playing bingo and taking part in the activities. He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son, Aime L. Francoeur Jr. of Manchester, NH; 2 daughters, Michelle Winslow of Manchester, NH and Anita Neilsen of Claremont, NH; 3 sisters, Carmel Lachance of Manchester, NH, Fleurette Farabaugh of Manchester and Suzanne Bennett of Epsom, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Lucille (Tardiff) Francoeur who died in 2001.
In His Life: He is also survived by his grandchildren, James C. Neilsen V, Richard L. Neilsen, William G. Neilsen, Eric J. Marsh, Melissa L. Conway and Brandon L. Francoeur and his two great grandchildren, Brian and Sophia. He was predeceased by his siblings, Marcel Francoeur, Claire Soley and Doris LaPointe.
Memorial gathering will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Friday from 11:00AM to 12:00PM with his Memorial Service to follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00PM. Committal Prayers will follow in the mausoleum chapel at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
