ALAN WILLIAM MACDONALD

LITTLETON, NH  Alan W. MacDonald, 63 of 170 Cottage Street, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, May 7, 2005.

A native of Littleton, Alan was born on January 2, 1942, the son of Burns and Doris (Maddox) MacDonald. Alan was a 1962 graduate of Littleton High School.

Alan was a Board Member for Hospice of the Littleton Area of which he was active on the Fund Raising Committee. He founded the North Country Emergency Fund which has helped many families in their times of need dealing with catastrophic circumstances. Alan enjoyed fishing and participating in Republican Party politics. Alans greatest pleasure was watching his grandsons play ice hockey and baseball.

Surviving family members include his wife, Marilyn (Craigie) MacDonald; one daughter, Heather MacDonald and husband, Gary Morneau; two grandsons, Maddon A. Morneau and Garron T. Morneau, all of Littleton; three sisters, Jane Maguire of Meredith, NH, Dale Gilbert of Littleton, NH, and Lynn Merrill of New Boston, NH; several nieces and nephews. One brother, Ian MacDonald, predeceased him.

SERVICES  A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton, with Rev. Fr. John Fleming as celebrant.
