Albert J. Bedard, 81, of Manchester died June 26, 2005 at Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Bedard was born on November 10, 1923 in Goffstown, the son of Joseph and Marie (Cote) Bedard. Bert was educated in Manchester, served in the U.S. Navy on a minesweeper and was involved in five invasions during World War II. Before retirement, he was employed at L.E. Bagley Company in Manchester. Bert was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church. He was a Boy Scout Master, a retired Teamster of local 633 and a charter member of Freedom Campers. He was a loving husband and dad who enjoyed all outdoor activities especially hunting, fishing, and camping. Family members include; his wife of 55 years, Aldona (Trakimas) Bedard; one son, Lawrence Bedard of Manchester; three daughters, Alena Gregoire of Manchester, Michele Mitchell of Bow and Monica Walmsley of Manchester; four brothers, Maurice Bedard of Goffstown, Rev. Father Andre Bedard of Nashua, Paul-Emile Bedard of Goffstown and Robert Bedard of Goffstown; two sisters, Alliette DeMers of Manchester and Lucien Pinard of Manchester; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday June 29th from 2:00 until 4:00 PM and 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10 oclock at St. Patrick Church, 138 Coolidge Avenue.
