It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Pattee Horne, 79, of Titusville, FL at 4:18 am on February 18, 2018 due to complications of open heart surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 28, 1938 in Manchester, NH to Anne (Bohle) Horne, and was the youngest of 3 children. He graduated from Manchester Central High School in 1956, then went on to join the U.S. Navy. Albert and Joyce (Pirog) were married on June 17, 1961. They lived in Merrimack, Litchfield and Auburn, NH before retiring to Titusville, FL.
In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed old movies, traveling, feeding stray cats and going to the Victory casino boat at Port Canaveral. He also loved NASCAR, the Red Sox and the Patriots. In his earlier years he loved his model airplanes, bowling leagues, going on snowmobile trips and playing poker games till the wee hours with family and friends. He was a member of the ASPCA.
Albert worked for PSNH in Manchester, NH for 33 years, retiring in 1993.
He was predeceased by his mother, Anne Horne, and 2 sisters, Geraldine and Marilyn.
Albert will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years,Joyce (Pirog) Horne; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Stephen Hopkins of Merrimack, NH; and son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Cheryl Horne of Stewartstown, NH. He will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Meghan and Melanie Hopkins, and Zachary Horne as well his nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: There will be a graveside service later in the spring.
