Albert Joseph Raymond, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 14, 1930, in Blackstone, MA.
Albert served in the National Guard for 9 years. He was a hard worker and worked for many years at Chicopee Mills, then as a machine operator at Pandora Sweaters in the Manchester Mill Yards and at Elliot Hospital as an environmental services employee. He was also a member of the Precious Blood Monastery's Legion of a 1000 Men. He was the happiest go lucky guy, and always had the biggest smile on his face. His infectious laughter and joy will continue on at the Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the hearts of the staff and residents.
He was a dedicated husband, father and pepere. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved making them laugh.
Albert loved the beach and exploring the mountains with his wife and family. He was an avid walker and frequenter at Dunkin Donuts as he loved his coffee and donuts. One of his favorite hobbies was assembling jigsaw puzzles with family.
Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dora (Martel) Raymond who passed away in 2015, a grandson Christopher Raymond who passed in 2016, and his siblings Evelyn and Arthur. Albert was married to the love of his life, Dora, on May 23, 1953, and were married for 62 years, before she passed.
Albert is survived by his three sons, Donald Raymond & wife Pat of North Carolina, Robert Raymond & wife Cynthia of Brookline, Paul Raymond & wife Lisa of Manchester; and two daughters, Diane Forcier & husband Marc of Loudon, and Denise O'Rourke & husband Kevin of Hooksett; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and extended family and friends.
Services: All are welcome to attend calling hours on Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 3:00-7:00PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, Monday, June 14 at 10:00AM at the St. Marie Roman Catholic Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave, Manchester. Burial will immediately follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
