Alberta M. ''Birdie'' Stanton, 90, formerly 827 Dix Street, died August 9, 2000, at St. Teresa Manor, Manchester, NH. She was born in Marinette, Wisconsin on May 18, 1910, the daughter of Andrew E. and Alvina (Dusseau) Olsen and had been a resident of Manchester for most of her life. She was the widow of Joseph Stanton who died in 1969. Birdie was an auxiliary member of Our Lady of Mercy, Legion of Mary, a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and retired from the Queen City Motel. Family members include her brother Francis Olsen of Ledyard, Connectituct, her predeceased son, Michael Jenkins who died in 1999, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Thursday from 5 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 11 o'clock in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial will be in St. Augustin Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Teresa Manor, Nursing Dept., 519 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03103.
