Albin P. Robbins, Jr., 61, of Goffstown died Saturday December 16, 2017 following a period of declining health.
Albin was born in Franklin, NH December 7, 1956 to Albin and Elaine (Smith) Robbins. He was raised in the Concord area and attended Rundlett Junior High and Concord High School. Albin enlisted in the US Army in 1974 and proudly served his country for 10 years while stationed in Germany and Kentucky. Upon honorable discharge from the military, he entered the workforce as a career mechanic working for several different companies over the years, most notably Penske Truck Rental.
In his younger years, Albin enjoyed auto and drag racing, and as he got older he spent more of his time fishing and cheering for his favorite sports teams.
Albin is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary (Hirsch) Robbins; his sons Steven of Germany, Michael of Concord, and Ian of Manchester; brothers Stephen Redic of Candia, Harold Robbins of Meredith, Henry Robbins of FL, and Wayne Robbins of MO; his sister Denise Dow of Laconia; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday, December 20th 12:30-1:30pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 172 King Street in Boscawen. A funeral service will begin at 1:30 in the funeral home chapel. Committal with military honors will commence at 2:30pm at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen.
