Aldege W. Turgeon, 83, of Manchester died February 13, 2005 at the Laurel Center in Bedford following a lengthy illness. Mr. Turgeon was born on December 11, 1921 in Thetford Mines, Canada the son of the late Louis and Evelina (Vezina) Turgeon. He was a US Navy veteran who served in World War II on the USS Hutchinson. He was employed at a Portsmouth Navy Shipyard for 38 years. Aldege was a former commander at Jutras Post and lifelong member of Catholic War Veterans. He loved bass fishing, and playing pool and poker with friends and family. Family members include; his wife of 57 years, Jeannine (Petit) Turgeon; two sons, John Turgeon of Goffstown and Dennis Turgeon of Merrimack; three daughters, Constance E. Cohorn of Franklin, TN, Denise Cassidy of Manchester and Jacqueline Hannagan of Kingston; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 16th at 9:00 AM at Ste. Marie Church. Burial will be at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery.
