Alexandra B. (Berthiaume) (Flynn) Lacombe, 96, formerly of 166 Kelley Street, died February 17, 2004 at the Loving Care Hospice in Albany, CA. She was born in Grand-Mere, PQ Canada on October 1, 1907, the daughter of Alexander and Emilie (Bege) Berthiaume and had been a Manchester resident nearly all of her life before moving to California three years ago. She had worked in local shoe shops throughout her career. She had also worked as an attendant at Notre Dame Hospital for six years until her retirement. She was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas F. Flynn who died in 1959 and by her second husband, Josephat Lacombe who died in 1968. She was a long-time parishioner of the Church of the Transfiguration. Family members include her son, Thomas P. Flynn of Piedmond, CA; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Wednesday from 6:30 to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:30 AM in the Church of the Transfiguration. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
