Alfred V. Ahlquist

Alfred V. Ahlquist, 67, of 435 Central Street, died October 12, 2004 at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Manchester on July 4, 1937, the son of Carl and Margaret (Wright) Ahlquist and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He had worked for Granite State Fruit for ten years until his retirement. He loved to attend flee markets and go to yard sales. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Family members include his wife of 42 years, Pamela (Pantelis) Ahlquist; two sons, Michael Ahlquist of East Derry and Arthur Ahlquist of Manchester; a daughter, Karen Root of Nashua; six grandchildren; a sister, Ann Rozamus of Manchester and nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM. The Trisageon service will be held at 7:00 on Sunday in the funeral home. Funeral services will take place on Monday morning at 10:00 in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Merrimack Street, Manchester, NH 03103.
