Alfred Kenneth Browne, 93, of Manchester, NH, passed away on August 12, 2022 at Hackett Hill Healthcare in Manchester. Born in New York, NY on November 20, 1928, he was a son of the late Alfred and Christina (Claxton) Browne. He shared 75 years of marriage with his late wife, Lorraine (Harris) Browne.

Alfred spent his younger years in Harlem and Queens. At 18, he married his childhood sweetheart, Lorraine, and together they moved to Long Island, where they raised their family. They later relocated to Derry, New Hampshire in 1981. He attended school for drafting and design and worked as a mechanical engineer for many years, at Deutsch Relays in Northport, New York and at Wang Laboratories in Lowell, MA. Alfred was passionate for art and music and loved to create oil paintings and play the piano. He loved staying active, playing tennis and handball, skiing and swimming. He enjoyed the outdoors and made many fond memories with family during camping trips and going sailing.

Alfred is survived by his children, Ronnie Browne and his wife Alma, Gerald Browne and his wife Debbie, Cheryl Browne, Saundra Norris and her husband Albert, and Wayne Browne and his wife Lilly; his sister, Violet Marquez; his grandchildren, Daryl, Nicola, Jsemal, Sean, Yolanda, Quincy, JaRod, Wayne, Noah, Lance, Aliyah, Monique and Evan; as well as numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, Alfred was also predeceased by his brother, Eugene Browne and his wife Eleanor, his brother in law, Joseph Marquez, and his daughter in law, Pat Browne.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 19th at 10:30am at Evergreen Cemetery on Buck Street in Pembroke, NH.
