Alfred Samuel Flint, 81, of Andover, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, at the Merrimack County Nursing Home, surrounded by close family.
Known affectionately as “Al” or “Freddy” by his beloved wife of 57 years, Alfred was born on June 22, 1943, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Alfred and Rita Flint. A longtime resident of New Hampshire, he raised his family in East Concord before retiring to Andover.
Alfred enjoyed a 30-year career in computer programming, working with COBOL for organizations including Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Christian Mutual Life Insurance, and the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.
A man of many talents, Alfred found joy in working on small engines, woodworking, and spending time in his shop—always tinkering and puttering with care and creativity.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Flint, of Boscawen, New Hampshire; his daughter, Jennifer Daubenspeck of Meredith, New Hampshire; his sons, Peter Flint of Cologne, Minnesota; Donald Flint, of Loudon, New Hampshire; and his sister, Shirley Swanney of Florida.
