Alfred R. Goudreau, 62, of 259 Cartier Street, died at the Ridgewood Center in Bedford on October 23, 2004 following a brief illness. He was born in Manchester on January 14, 1942, the son of Joseph G. and Laurianna (Labrie) Goudreau and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He has worked at Catholic Medical Center for 30 years, retiring in January of 2004. He enjoyed watching baseball and was a parishioner of Ste. Marie Church. Family members include four brothers, Brother Damian Goudreau, Sacred Heart Brother of Woonsocket, RI, Robert Goudreau of Northport, FL, Rene Goudreau of Manchester and Edward Goudreau of Milford; two sisters, Pauline Lord of Derry and Lorraine Dionne of Merrimack; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
