Alfred S. Paquette, 97, of Bedford, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024 following a period of declining health.

Alfred was born in Manchester on February 18, 1927 to Adelard and Almina (Herbert) Paquette. He lived his whole life in Manchester attending local schools. He joined the military, U.S. Army, completing Infantry Training in September 1945. Alfred was part of the Allied Occupation Forces and received an Honorable Discharge in January 1947.

He was employed by International Paper Company as a tractor trailer driver traveling throughout the New England area as well as in the state of New York. He continued until his retirement in 1989.

He enjoyed playing cribbage, pool, as well as a good game of golf. He had been a parishioner of St. Augustine’s Church and the Parish of the Transfiguration.

Alfred was predeceased by his wife Denise. His is survived by his children, Norman Paquette and his wife Beth of Maine, Susan Urban and her husband John of Florida, Paul Paquette and his wife Lena of Manchester and Diane Gingras and her husband Maurice of Raymond; three grandchildren, Maureen Gingras Marino, Christopher Gingras and Meagan Paquette Schlander; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews as well as his remaining sister, Claire Marineau of Bedford.

Private burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
