Alfred W. Rogers Sr. Manchester, NH Age 76, died Tuesday December 13th at his home, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on June 25, 1929 in Watertown, MA., the Son of Chester and Mildred (Ralph) Rogers. He was both raised and educated in Watertown, MA. Mr. Rogers served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged. He had worked as a courier for Metpath in Cambridge, MA. for many years, until retiring due to his illness. He has been a resident of the Queen City for the past 17 years. Alfred loved to watch John Wayne movies, and enjoyed working on a challenging jigsaw puzzle. He loved his family very much, and cherished the time he spent with them. He is survived by his Wife of 29 years, Susan (McCarthy) Rogers of Manchester. Two Sons; Frank J. Rogers and Stephen M. Rogers and his Wife Patricia, all of Manchester. Daughter, Cathrine M. Rogers of Manchester. Brother Arthur Rogers and his Wife Lorraine of Medford, MA. Three Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive him. There are no services or calling hours. Burial will take place Friday December 16th at 10:00 AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery 110 Daniel Webster Highway Rt. 3 in Boscawen, NH. Military honors from the U.S. Army will be delivered at that time.
