Alice J. Schunemann

Alice J, (Rose) Schunemann, 52, of 74 Batchedler Avenue, Manchester, died August 16, 2002 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in New London, CT. She was born on March 12, 1950, the daughter of Edgar H. and Lena (Lombardo) Rose and had been a lifelong resident of the City. She was employed by the United States Postal Service for over fifteen years. She was a parishioner and member of the choir at St. Anthony Church. She was also a member of the Dove Singers. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Family members include her mother of Manchester; two daughters, Wendy Schunemann and Amy Schunemann, both of Manchester; a son, Eric Schunemann of Manchester; one granddaughter, Marsha Schunemann of Manchester; a sister, Terry Godbout of Manchester; and nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11:00 in St. Anthony Church. After cremation, urn burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
