Amy Laura Blake of Whitefield, NH tragically died on August 11, 2026. Her passing has profoundly saddened her remaining family and many friends. Amy was only 59 years of age. She had the most beautiful eyes that matched her soul. Her love for her three boys was indisputable and her death came suddenly leaving her remaining family in shock. Amy’s community has rallied under the pressure; and the care they have shown has mattered.

Amy was the eldest of two girls, born at B.D. Weeks Hospital in Lancaster, NH. The family moved to Florida for her first two winters, then she resided in Arlington, VA in her fourth year. They then returned to Whitefield. One more winter was spent in Sarasota, Fl where she attended 2nd grade; and where she perfected the jackknife dive in the backyard pool. Again, the family returned to Whitefield. She attended Whitefield schools, playing basketball during her middle school years; and volunteered at Weathervane Theatre preparing stage props. Amy’s grandparents, Iris and George, were a large part of her life. After school, Amy attended Empire school and obtained her NH license in cosmetology. She also obtained her NH real estate license as an associate.

Michael (Mikey) Marro, her first son was born in 1985. In 1995, she married Eric Blake on the beach in Sagaponack, NY. They purchased a home in Whitefield; and together they had two sons, Nick and Nathan. Summers were an unforgettable time for the family with many visits to the lakes in Whitefield and Lancaster and visiting the ocean at her Mom & Bill’s home in New York. Amy has been a single-Mom for the last 17 years. She is survived by one son, Nathan; a sister, Libby Lattanzio; and mother, Melissa Cole.

Amy’s love of Bernie and the birds was shared with her three sons. They all looked forward to an annual winter visit from Olive, a barred owl who usually stayed for weeks, unafraid of them. Amy also cared for an extensive perennial garden which she enjoyed. Her caring counted and she will be sorely missed.
