Andre J. Croteau, 81, of 105 Belmont Street, died May 20, 2008 at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Manchester on March 18, 1927, the son of Edmond and Imelda (Robin) Croteau and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and belonged to the American Legion, Jutras Post and the D.A.V. Andre owned and operated Andy's Burner Service for over 25 years until his retirement. He was a life member of the Mount Royal Club and enjoyed playing pool and cribbage. Family members include his wife of 56 years, Lucie (Savoie) Croteau; seven sons, Thomas Croteau of Franklin, Donald Croteau of FL; William Croteau and Philip Croteau, both of Manchester, Ronald Croteau of Weare, Albert Croteau of Litchfield and Moe Croteau of Manchester; a daughter, Diane Dion of Manchester; 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Fontaine of Epsom; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 30th at 11:00 in St. Anthony Church. Urn burial with military honors will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
