Andre ''Sam'' Samson, 68, of 92 Granite Street, Hooksett died on March 22, 2001 at Elliot Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Samson was born on February 14, 1933 in Goffstown, NH the son of the late Emile and Louisanna (Rene) Samson. For 16 years Sam was a toll gate supervisor in Hooksett for the State of New Hampshire. He served during the Korean Conflict in the US Army 187th Airborne and the US Navy. Mr. Samson belonged to the VFW Post 8214, the American Legion Jutras Post 43 and Elks Club. He was a member of the Intervale Country Club, along with various other social clubs and was a member of the League of a 1000 Men of the Monastery of the Precious Blood. Family members include his wife of 46 years, Jacqueline (Dionne) Samson of Hooksett, a son, James Samson of North Conway, NH, two brothers, Arthur Samson of Manchester and Robert Samson of Hooksett, a sister, Theresa Weed of Santa Anna, California and many nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o'clock in Ste. Marie Church. Urnment will follow in Mount Calvary Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sisters of Precious Blood, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
