Andrew Francis Ainsworth passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, at his home in Sandy, Utah.
Andy was born in Boston, MA on July 30, 1977, and spent his childhood in Norwood and Norfolk, MA graduating in 1995 from Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA.
He migrated to Utah to attend the University of Utah, pursuing his passion for snowboarding and follow his dreams. He travelled the world to find the best snow going as far as New Zealand on his quest.
His passion for the Boston Red Sox and Bruins was nearly unmatched. Remarkably, he knew all the stats and had total recall of all the plays even from days long ago, while also enjoying a fun game of golf or an adventure on his dirt bike with buddies in the Utah desert.
He spent many years in stage production for shows of all sizes across the Salt Lake Valley and Wendover, NV. He took great pride in the wide variety of entertainment events he helped support.
Andrew is survived by his parents, Peter F. and Paula A. (Brophy) Ainsworth of Franconia, NH, and brother, Todd J. Ainsworth, his wife Ashley, their children, Colin and Courtney. In addition, he leaves an aunt, uncle, and many cousins in Massachusetts. He will be missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 8, 2026, beginning at 10:00AM at Our Lady of the Snows in Franconia, NH with Father Rory Traynor officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a gathering at the Maplewood Country Club, Bethlehem, NH immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to: Ouimet Scholarship Fund (https://www.ouimet.org/) - 300 Arnold Palmer Blvd., Norton, MA 02766, or to a charity of your choice.
