Angelina Blanche Pinard

Manchester—Angelina "Blanche" Pinard died April 11, 2008 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH at the age of 98 after a period of declining health. She was born in Manchester on September 4, 1909 the daughter of Albert ad Maude Lamontagne. Mrs. Pinard was a lifelong resident of Manchester and attended local schools. She was a stay at home mother who had a great love for her entire multigenerational family. Mrs. Pinard was a skilled seamstress who volunteered for many years as a clothes maker for the children of third world countries and for the less fortunate in the Manchester area. In her younger years she was also an active church volunteer at St. Augustin's. In recent years she has been a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua. In her retirement years she was an avid reader and a great sports fan, especially committed to watching every Red Sox game on television and knowing every player by name. In Her Life: Mrs. Pinard was married for 59 years to her husband Armand W. Pinard who died in 1992 and predeceased by a daughter, Priscilla, her parents, brothers, George and Ernest and sister, Jeannette Bowen. Her family includes a daughter, Ruth of Manchester, with whom she lived and a son Armand of Darmouth, Nova Scotia. She also has a granddaughter Michelle and her husband Mark Wolverton of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia and a grandson, Michael and his wife Karen Lander-Pinard of Middleton, Nova Scotia, as well as three great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Mrs. Pinard was very grateful to the relatives and friends who provided her with care and support in her waning years. Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, corner of Union St, Manchester on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00AM at St. Anthony Church, Manchester. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester. In Lieu of flowers donations in Mrs. Pinard's name can be made to Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
