Anita B. Beaudet, who was born an only child in Manchester, passed away in her beloved lifelong city, where she was at the heart-center of a family that grew to include her six children, 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She died peacefully August 29, 2005, at Catholic Medical Center. She was 85. Anita was born on November 13, 1919, the daughter of Wilfrid Bonnin and Adeline (Halle) Bonnin Beaudet. Following the death of her father, she worked with her mother as a maid. She was eventually employed at a lovely home on 334 Rimmon St. on the West Side, where she met and fell in love with her beloved husband, Donald A. Beaudet, and resided for more than 70 years. Anita and Donald were happily married for more than 50 years. The couple was blessed with six children, all of whom Anita raised at home with wit, wisdom and a feisty sense of humor. Her husband passed on in 1989, following a long, brave battle with Alzheimers Disease. During his struggle with Alzheimers, Anita attended weekly support group meetings to offer others comfort and reassurance. Anita was a woman of great spiritual faith and was deeply devoted to the Catholic Church. She celebrated a televised mass every day at home in her living room, where she often prayed and enjoyed visits from her family. Whenever one of her children, grandchildren and friends was in need, she could always be counted on for candlelit prayers and devotion. When her children were grown, Anita continued to nurture those in need as a nurses aide to the elderly at Notre Dame Hospital, which is now CMC. She later worked at American Velcro. She was a member of the Columbiettes and was a lifelong parishioner of Ste. Marie Church. She will be remembered by many as our beautiful, rosy-cheeked Memere, who loved to sing, play cards, laugh and had a strong affinity for animals, especially her beloved dog, Eddy. Her unshakable faith in God and family will resound in our hearts forever. Family members include; two sons, Arthur Beaudet of Dunbarton and Leo Ace Beaudet of Goffstown; three daughters, Monique Morin of Colebrook, Lillian Lachance of Manchester and Denise Lemaire of Fabreville, Canada; 16 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind two daughters-in-law, Charlotte and Mack Beaudet; and three sons-in-law, Victor Leo Morin, Gilles Lachance and Pierre Paul Lemaire. Mrs. Beaudet was predeceased by a daughter, Constance Morin and her husband, Adrien. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 250 Coolidge Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at Ste. Marie Church with interment to follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, when she will be reunited with her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Anitas name to the Alzheimers Association of New Hampshire, 10 Ferry Street, Suite 427B, Concord, NH 03301.
