Ann Marie Greene, 71, died Tuesday, January 9, 2019 at home in Bedford, NH. She was born September 10, 1947 in Boston, MA, daughter of Charles and Mary Grady of Braintree, MA.
Ann graduated from Children's Hospital School of Nursing in Boston in 1968 and worked in various nursing roles. After starting her family, she was drawn to caring for expectant mothers, and began working as a childbirth educator and Lamaze instructor in Manchester, NH. She also worked as a ski instructor at Pat's Peak, in Henniker, NH, where her children were enrolled in lessons.
Ann is remembered for her compassion and sense of humor, and for being a loving mother, sister, and Nana.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses, David Greene and Alia Winters of Bronx, NY, Jeffrey and Stefanie Greene of Boyds, MD, and Deborah and Jason Machado of Centennial, CO; her siblings, Kathleen Walker of Leominster, MA, Kevin Grady and his wife Nanshil of Rochester, MI and Paul Grady of Bend, OR; several nieces and nephews; and eight grandchildren, Miles Greene, Owen Greene, Tyler Pratt, Kaitlyn Greene, Olivia Greene, Brendan Greene, Tristan Machado, and Jackson Machado.
Ann was predeceased by her brother Charles Grady Jr. (Butch), a lifelong patient of Children's Hospital in Boston.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 12 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street Manchester, NH. Calling hours are from 3pm to 6pm, with a service at 6pm. Private burial will take place at a later date.
