Ann P. O'Donnell passed away unexpectedly on April 10th, 2023. She was born in Manchester on February 7, 1937, to Walter and Nellie Palys (Dabrowski).
She attended St. Casmere School and graduated from Manchester Central High School. She then went on to work at the Phone Company.
She married her late husband, Frankie, in 1962. They went on to become the owners of The Lamplighter Restaurant and Bedford Golfland.
In her free time, she loved reading and was always working on a puzzle, crossword or cryptoquip which kept her sharp as a tack. She also enjoyed watching the local sports teams until it was a close game and was too unbearable to watch so she'd turn it off and pace.
Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was amazed at any of their minor accomplishments and would talk endlessly about them.
Generous, kind and caring are some ways to describe Ann. Above all she was selfless. She would help anyone that needed it and only asked for the basics for herself.
Predeceased by her parents, Walter, and Nellie Palys (Dabrowski), her brother Walter Palys, her sister Julie McManus, and her late husband Frankie O'Donnell.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Jane Casavant and Patricia Roy, daughters, Mary T. Walsh (Gary), Karen Hall (Tim) and son Dan O'Donnell (Colleen) and her special nephew, Johnny O'Donnell. She also leaves behind her 7 grandchildren, Brendan Hall & Ryan Hall, Connor Walsh & Kelly Walsh and Cori O'Donnell, Frankie O'Donnell & Sam O'Donnell, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Service will be held privately.
