Anne M. Gauthier, 90, of Lawrence, MA., and formerly of Hooksett, NH died July 14, 2004 at Mary Immaculate Restorative Center, Lawrence, MA., after a period of failing health. She was born in Drummonville, Canada on September 17, 1913, the daughter of the late Ludger and Marie Rosanna (Fleury) Capistran. Anne grew up in Woonsocket, R.I. and attended the local school system. She married Albert Rondeau of R.I. and worked many years as Supervisor of the School Lunch Program. She later became an instructor for Singer Company. After many years in R.I. they moved to Hooksett, NH. She was predeceased by her first husband, Albert Rondeau, and later married Frank Chapman of Goffstown, NH. She became an active member of the Vox Villa Augustina School in Goffstown. She was successful in orchestrating the donation of all the Masonry and bricks for the entire construction of Rosary Hall and also the construction of the new tennis courts. Mrs. Gauthier for the second time was predeceased by Frank Chapman and later married George Gauthier and continued her residency in Goffstown. She ran and was elected Check List Supervisor where she held this position for several terms. After the death of her husband George Gauthier in 1983, she moved to Lawrence, Ma. For the past 20 years she lived in Lawrence residing at Mary Immaculate Retirement Community. IN Her Life: Anne loved politics. She and George campaigned for John F. Kennedy. Attended the inauguration ceremony in Washington, DC with enthusiasm and total delight. With her flare for fashion she operated her own boutique, as clothes designer and offering her own trade labels. She was very creative, her fashions were unique and her designs were totally elegant. Annes great love for people and her tremendous gift for bringing people together along with her generosity and passion for life, made a statement of who she was. Making a difference in many peoples lives. She will be greatly missed. She enjoyed her grandson, Michael Rondeau and his wife Shannon of Antrim, NH. Family members include her son, Albert Rondeau, Jr. and his wife Doris of Manchester, NH, two sisters; Rita Capistran of Westwood, Ma., and Sister Theresa Capistra, Order of the Grey Sisters, of Arlington, Ma., several nieces and nephews. SERVICES: A Memorial Reception will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium Chapel, 243 Hanover Street, on Friday morning from 9 to 10:45 oclock with her Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11 oclock in St. Catherine Church.
