Anne McHugh, 62, passed away June 21, 2006, at the Elliot Hospital, after a short battle with cancer. She was born on January 19, 1944, in Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Ralph and Lillian (Desmarais) Gauthier, and had been a resident of Manchester for most of her life. Anne was a Registered Nurse and had been a Certified Pediatric Nurse since 1972 at Notre Dame Hospital, Catholic Medical Center and the Elliot Hospital. Through her life she had been heavily involved in the Community; Manchester Junior Soccer League, West; Southwest Little League, Junior Deb Softball and the Manchester Boys and Girls Club. She was also a St. Edmond Church Caregiver and had been on the State Democratic Committee (Alternate) and was most recently involved with Easter Seals of New Hampshire. Family members include her husband of 40 years, Vinnie McHugh of Manchester, three sons; Colin McHugh of Bedford, NH; Jeremy McHugh of Manchester and Joshua McHugh of Watertown, Ma., a daughter, Alyssa Janelle of Henniker, NH. five grandchildren, a brother, Ralph Gauthier of Edenton, NC; a sister Pauline Desisto of Pawtuckett, RI. IN HER LIFE: Her five grandchildren; Madison, Kathryn and Spencer Janelle of Henniker, NH and Joseph and Katie McHugh of Bedford, NH. Anne was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed so very much by all those who knew and loved her. SERVICES: A Memorial Reception for Anne, will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Friday afternoon from 2 to 6.
