Anne (Willey) Sanderson, born on July 5, 1936, in Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away on December 4, 2025. A dedicated and selfless member of her community, Anne leaves behind a remarkable legacy touched by her commitment to education and humanitarian efforts.

A proud native of Manchester, Anne embarked on her educational journey at the Ash Street Grammar School before graduating from Central High School in the class of 1954. She continued to pursue her academic aspirations, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Notre Dame College in 1980, marking the continuation of a lifelong commitment to learning and community service.

In her professional life, Anne served as the director of education for Brookside Church in Manchester. Her passion for supporting those in need led her to a distinguished career dedicated to refugee resettlement efforts in New Hampshire. After nearly 25 years of tireless effort, she concluded her career as the director of the International Institute of New Hampshire, where she made significant contributions to the well-being of countless individuals seeking a new beginning.

Anne’s selflessness extended beyond her professional work. Anne was deeply involved in community service from a young age. Starting as a member of the Girl Scouts of America at only seven years old, she participated in Senior Girl Scout Troop No. 38 and had the unique opportunity to take part in a six-week tour of Europe. She also participated in the Rainbow Girls at the Masonic Temple.

Her commitment to the betterment of her community earned her the respect and admiration of many. In recognition of her outstanding community involvement, she was honored with the 1998 Good Samaritan Award for Public Service.

Anne is survived by her youngest daughter, Elizabeth Anne Sanderson, her Brother Bruce Willey and his wife Donna and her grandson Roger Weeks. She is predeceased by her husband, Harold Aubrey Sanderson, Jr. and her oldest daughter, Cathy Ann Sanderson as well as her parents.

Anne Sanderson will be remembered as a radiant beacon of love and caring in her community. As we reflect on her life, may we all strive to honor her legacy by embodying her selfless dedication to our own communities.
