Anne S. Schornstein, a beloved figure and devoted mother, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025. Born on November 7, 1928, in Newton, Massachusetts, Anne grew up in Waltham, MA, where her vibrant personality began to shine.

Throughout her life, Anne embraced the role of a full-time household engineer, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to caring for her home and her three boys. Known for her spirited character, she was a true spitfire, never hesitating to share her thoughts and opinions candidly. At the same time, Anne's warmth and compassion made her one of the most approachable and nurturing individuals anyone could know.

Her love for entertaining was matched only by her passion for cooking, where she delighted in creating meals that brought friends and family together. Anne also had a green thumb, thriving in her garden, which reflected her nurturing spirit. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting antiques and honing her skills at the bridge table.

Anne is survived by her loving family, including her sons, William S. Asprey (Virginia) and his wife Sue, and Scott Asprey (Rhode Island) and his wife Susan. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Marty (Virginia), Jessica (Vermont), Jason (New Hampshire), and eight beloved great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond S. Wilder and Christina A. Wilder; her youngest son, Raymond W. Asprey; her sister, Priscilla Andre (Illinois); and her grandchildren William J Asprey and Jennifer M Asprey.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at a Memorial Gathering on October 11, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium in Hanover, Manchester, NH.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Arthritis Foundation, or the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

Her legacy of love, laughter, and straightforward honesty will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Anne S. Schornstein will be deeply missed yet fondly remembered.
