Annette L. Carey

Annette L. (Michaud) (Denoncourt) Carey, 101, of Spring Hill, FL and formerly of Manchester, passed away on August 20, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Nashua on January 16, 1908, the daughter of Alfred and Marie (Cote) Michaud and had lived in Manchester for most of her life before moving to Spring Hill, FL in 2003. She had worked for many years in local textile mills. She was an avid Red Sox fan. She was predeceased in life by two husbands, William Denoncourt in 1960 and John Carey in 1993. She was also predeceased by two infant children, Leo and Robert Denoncourt, two brothers, Wilfred and Conrad Mitchell, a sister, Isabelle Stewart, and a half-brother, Robert Mitchell. Family members include a son, Armand Denoncourt of Spring Hill, FL; four daughters, Lillian Champagne, Irene Nolet and Claire Roy, all of Spring Hill, FL and Janet Carey of Hickory, NC; and over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren along with numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Sunday September 20th from 2 to 3 PM. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in St. Augustin Cemetery.
