Annette Cranston, 95, a long-time resident of Greenville, died on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the Pheasant Wood Center, Peterborough, NH after a period of declining health. Born on March 12, 1927 in Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Lauretta (Greaves) Champagne. She grew up in the Pembroke/Allenstown area and attended local schools. She was employed at Warwick Mills in New Ipswich having retired several years ago. Annette was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the Lioness Club as well as volunteering in many church and civic activities. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church of Greenville where she was a member of the choir.
Besides her parents, Annette is predeceased by two sons, Andre Gabert and John Cranston and son-in-law, Yvon Jacques as well as seven brothers, Valmore, Marcel, Rene, Jean, Reginald, Denis and Phil Champagne and three sisters, Theresa Schneider, Jacqueline Glines and Marguerite Champagne.
Annette is survived by her son James Cranston of Milford, and daughters Ann Gabert-Jacques of Claremont and Cheryl Doucet and husband Keith of Cincinnati, Ohio, one brother, Paul (Carole) Champagne of Pembroke, three sisters, Muriel Tracy of Auburn and Julie Champagne and Marie (John) Cusson of Pembroke; 6 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Greenville on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at a later date at the St. Jean Baptist Cemetery in Allenstown, NH. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Hanover St.
