It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Annette Veilleux, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Annette was born on October 17, 1937, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Pete Gosselin and Roberta Roberge. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Maurice Veilleux, her son, Armand Veilleux and sister, Jacqueline Jeffrey.
Educated in Catholic schools, Annette lived a full and vibrant life in both Manchester, New Hampshire, and Fort Myers, Florida. Her greatest joy was raising her five boys, cherishing time spent cooking, sewing, and playing games with them. In Florida, she embraced the warmth of the area and an active social life, which included membership in the New England Club at Buccaneer Park, playing cards, cooking for neighbors, volunteering at the local hospital, and savoring the beauty of her surroundings.
Upon her return to New Hampshire, Annette resided at The MeetingHouse at Riverfront in Manchester, where she formed many friendships and enjoyed the numerous weekly activities. A highlight of her days was having her hair styled, and her wonderful sense of humor made her a favorite among the staff and residents alike.
In recent years, Annette received exceptional care at The Inn at Deerfield for Alzheimer’s care. As her condition progressed, the staff’s dedication and compassion provided her with comfort and joy. Annette developed a deep bond with the caregivers who brought laughter and love into her daily life. The family is profoundly grateful for their kindness.
Annette leaves behind a legacy of love in her surviving family: her sons and their families; Robert and Rebecca Veilleux of Gilford, NH; Paul and Jennifer Veilleux of Anchorage, AK; Donald and Lisa Veilleux of Manchester, NH; Jean Veilleux of Galax, VA; and Normand and Lee Veilleux of Mt. Juliet, TN. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
