Anthony Gerard Veckery, also known as Tony, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023, at the age of 93 in Methuen, MA. Born on September 26, 1931, in Newton, Massachusetts, Tony was a beloved husband, a proud Army Veteran, and retired from the electronics division at Raytheon Corporation.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Doris Bergeron Veckery. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Ernestine Dorr-Veckery, brothers, Peter Veckery and William Veckery, and his sisters Pauline Parnel and Mary Lorentz. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Tony was a dedicated family man who cherished his loved ones deeply.

In addition to his military service, Tony had a passion for collecting stamps and coins. He was an avid stamp and coin collector, spending countless hours expanding his collection. His dedication to this hobby brought him joy and allowed him to connect with others who shared his interests.

Anthony Gerard Veckery will be remembered for his service to his country, his successful career as an engineer, and his devotion to his hobbies. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

A prayer service with Military Honors for Anthony will take place on a later date at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium at 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH. He will be laid to rest afterwards at the Newton Cemeterey & Arboretum in Newton, MA.
