Arabelle C. Dix, 97 of Vernon, VT passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Vernon Green Nursing Home in Vernon, VT. She was born in Bellows Falls, VT on February 23, 1920; the daughter of the late Clifford N. and Mae (Reed) Hill.
Arabelle was a lifelong area resident. She was educated in the Bellows Falls school system, graduating from Bellows Falls High School, Class of 1940. She was employed as a proofreader for Americomp, until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time at the beach; York Beach being her favorite, tending to her flower gardens, animals and especially loved spending time with her family.
She is predeceased by her husband, Kelton Dix in 1984; a daughter, Patricia Anderson in 2004; two brothers, Neil and Herbert Hill; and a sister, Arlene Dix.
Arabelle is survived by a son, Gary Dix (Linda) of Hinsdale, NH; a daughter, Karen Brackett of Burlington, VT; six grandchildren, Judith Sullivan (Jason), Amy Stomberg (Charles), Tatum Bailey (Keith), Shane Brackette (Jennifer), Kirsten Parro (Christopher), and Mark Anderson (Denise); nine great grandchildren, Cobe, Kelton, Kylee, Emily, Reese, Sawyer, Ellison, Emma and Joshua.
Services will be private. The KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, 57 High St., Brattleboro, VT is assisting the family with arrangements.
