Armand Labbe, 61, of Candia, died suddenly at his home February 26, 2001. He was born in Canada on September 6, 1939, the son of the late Adrien and Blanche (Garneau) Labbe and had been a resident of Candia. He moved to the United States in 1965 and later became a U.S. Citizen. Armand worked many years as a mechanic in Chicopee Mills until 1971. He also worked as an apprentice plumber many years and received his journeymans License. Armand was most recently a self employed logger. His greatest pleasures were his two sons and the times he spent enjoying and contributing to the Boy Scouts with them. Family members include his wife of 32 years, Florence (Young) Labbe of Candia, two sons, David B. Labbe of Candia and Donald A. Labbe of Hooksett, two grandsons, Jacob and Derek Labbe, three brothers, Jean Paul Labbe of Auburn, Gaton Labbe and Benoit Labbe, both of Sherbrooke, PQ Canada, a sister, Gervaise Lachance of St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Anthony Church. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, 132 Middle Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
