Armand L. Mailhot

Armand Leonard Mailhot, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Country Village Center in Lancaster, NH. He was born on November 19, 1938, in Dixville, QC, Canada, the son of Leo Mailhot and Louisa (Viens) Mailhot. He was the husband of Doris (Doyon) Mailhot; they were married in 1964 in Manchester, NH.

He and his family immigrated from Dixville, QC, Canada to the U.S. in 1957. He worked on various dairy farms in New Hampshire and Vermont before moving to Manchester, NH in 1959 where he started his 40-year career as an asphalt paver.

He settled in Pinardville, NH where he resided for nearly 40 years before retiring to his second home in Stratford, NH in 2005.

Armand enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, and playing the harmonica and accordion. Known for his competitive spirit, Armand liked playing cards, horseshoes, and shuffleboard. He was an avid flea marketer and a professional garage “putterer.”

He is predeceased by his two sisters, Annette, and Yolande Mailhot, and six of his brothers, Romeo, Robert, Ronald, Reginald, Rejean, and Emile Mailhot.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Doris Mailhot of Manchester, NH; his oldest son, Gary Mailhot and his wife, Tracey Mailhot of Florida; his son, Steve Mailhot of Manchester, NH; three sisters, Rita Noyes, Adela Dube, and Adrienne Hoy all of Manchester, NH; brother, Guy Mailhot of Stratford, NH; five grandchildren including Brittany Mailhot and Christopher Mailhot of Manchester, Alec Mailhot and Ryan Mailhot of Manchester, and Brooke Melvoen of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

No formal services will be held at this time.
