Arthur E. Boulanger, Jr., 78, of Manchester, passed away at Coastal Health and Rehab in Daytona, FL on December 5, 2018 following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Manchester on February 5, 1940, the son of Arthur and Regina (Lefebvre) Boulanger, Sr. Arthur was a United States Air Force Veteran. He worked as a mail handler for the United States Postal Service for 33 years until his retirement, receiving numerous certificates of recognition during his tenure. Upon his retirement, Arthur traveled to Alaska every year, driving across the country and pursuing his love of fishing, photography, and mineral collecting along the way. He had an extensive collection of Space Program memorabilia which he donated to local schools and historical societies. Arthur enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Regina Vasconcellos, Lorraine Prosseer, Jean Karanas and most recently Rose Cote.
Family members include two sons, Mark Boulanger of Manchester and Paul Boulanger and his wife Lorraine, of Manchester; three grandchildren, Ryan, Bethany, and Kyle; two sisters, Helen Sleeper of Smithsburg, MD and Florence Nolette of Willington, CT; two brothers, Richard Boulanger of Biloxi, MS and Raymond Boulanger of Allenstown; and many nephews, nieces, and his brother-in-law and good friend, Bob Cote.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Thursday from 5 to 7 PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
