Arthur F. Jacobs

Arthur Fred Jacobs III passed away on January 2nd, 2020 at his home in Brattleboro, Vermont. He was 66 years old. Arthur is the son of Arthur Fred Jacobs Jr. and Thelma Colleen Jacobs (Facemire). He was the husband of Katrina Jacobs (Haskins). They were married on June 3rd, 1989.
Arthur was born and raised in Vermont. He lived for most of his childhood and adulthood in Brattleboro Vermont. In 1971 Arthur graduated Brattleboro Union High School. He worked as a manual worker at Erving Industries and Georgia Pacific. In his later years he was employed by the Town of Dummerston Vermont, maintaining roads and operating heavy equipment. This was a job he greatly enjoyed.
Arthur was an avid hunter. He began hunting with his father at age 8 and did so up until he was physically unable. Arthur outgoing and handy, he was always working on a project. He was a natural leader and always strived for excellence. His laugh was contagious, and he always made others feel welcome.
Arthur is predeceased by his father Arthur Fred Jacobs Jr. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Katrina Jacobs. His children Arthur Jacobs IV, Erika Barrett and stepson Curtis Songer. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Arthur Jacobs V, Mckenna Hammond, Kiersten Jacobs, Cameron Barrett, Emma Barrett and Liam Barrett. His mother, Thelma Sharlow, siblings Betty McGinn, Randy Jacobs and Colleen Jacobs. Arthur will also be forever remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Services will be held at Ker Phaneuf Funeral Home on Saturday January 11th, 2020 from 1-3 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Association.
