Milley
Aug 23, 1929 — Aug 20, 2026
Littleton, NH
Arthur R. “Art” Milley, age 96, passed away August 20, 2026 in Littleton, New Hampshire following a brief illness. Arthur was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on August 23, 1929, son of the late Edgar and Margaret (Husson) Milley.
He attended Saugus High School and graduated from Boston University where he studied Aeronautical Engineering. He served his country in the Air Force and while stationed at Burtonwood AFB in England, married his high school sweetheart, Constance (Connie) Milley in 1952. Arthur had a 42 year career with General Electric until his retirement in December 1989.
He enjoyed traveling the world with his bride Connie, was active in the local congregational churches and participated in four missions for Habitat for Humanity. He loved camping and golfing and the New England Patriots. Art was a talented woodworker and spent many hours whistling away in the basement, creating many pieces of furniture and treasures that live on today in the homes of his family and friends.
Arthur is survived by his sister Betty Ann Gannon of Boxford, Ma; his children, David Milley and his wife Pim of Sandown, NH, Doug Milley of Tewksbury, MA, Diane Havens and her husband Kevin of Franconia, NH, and Deidre Cadigan and her husband Kevin of Winston-Salem, NC; his grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Brianna, Dyllan, Cory, Jeffrey, Julie and Grace; and his great grandchildren Mia and Luca.
A private service is planned for family in November where we will celebrate a life well lived, a legacy left behind but not forgotten and many fond memories of a beautiful life.
Assisting the family with arrangements is Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Littleton.
