Manchester, NH

Arthur Antonio Normandin, Jr., affectionately known as Art, passed away on March 14, 2025, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. He was 89 years old.

Born on October 16, 1935, in Manchester, NH, Art lived his entire life in the city he loved. He was the son of the late Arthur Antonio and Bertha (Houle) Normandin, Sr. A proud veteran, Art served in the NH Army National Guard before building a successful career as a senior graphic designer at Lockheed Martin. Even after retirement, his strong work ethic led him to continue working part-time at Ira Lexus, delivering parts for 14 additional years.

Art’s greatest joy was his family. A devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he took immense pride in supporting and guiding those he loved. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years, Alicia Ann (Bilodeau) Normandin, in 2019. In his later years, he found companionship and happiness with his partner, Carole Boyle.

Art’s passion for athletics left a lasting mark on his community. He played a key role in founding the Manchester Girls Softball League (MGSL) and the West Junior Debs, and he coached basketball, softball, and cheerleading for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His influence extended beyond the game—he taught young athletes the values of perseverance, teamwork, and kindness.

A lifelong golfer, Art was a proud member of Dustin Country Club. When he wasn’t on the course, he found fulfillment in gardening, working on home improvement projects, and tinkering in his garage. He also loved a good puzzle and took delight in nurturing the neighborhood’s baby rabbits.

A man of deep faith, Art was a long-time parishioner of St. Pius X Church, where he and Alicia shared their spiritual journey. Known for his quick wit, love of the New York Yankees, and unwavering generosity, he was always ready to lend a helping hand. His kindness and dedication to others left a profound impact on his family, friends, and community.

Art is survived by his son, John Normandin, and his wife, Jean, along with their daughter, Molly. He is also survived by his daughter, Lisa, her daughter, Kylene, and her husband, Tracy, as well as their two children, Derek and Madison.
