Audrey Virginia (Dollie) Acquaviva, died peacefully early in the morning of January 1, 2016; born to Juanita M. (Merrick) and Frank J. Mafera, on September 3, 1928 in Revere, MA.

Dollie was the fifth of five children. She grew up in the Point of Pines in Revere, MA and graduated from Revere High School and Burdett College in Boston, MA. She married William P. Acquaviva of Revere in 1950. She and Bill lived and raised their family in Reading, MA.

Dollie loved life. She treasured her friends and cherished her family. She possessed a unique and powerful strength garnered through her deep faith and spiritualism. She has left behind an indelible mark and contribution through her spirit of volunteerism and her eight children, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, William (Bill) Acquaviva; a sister, Assunta, and two brothers, Frank and Richard.

She leaves behind her children; Peter J. and his wife Elizabeth of Whitingham, VT, William R. and his wife Miriam of Putney VT, Michael G. of Arundel ME, James A. and his wife Jacqueline of Kennebunk, ME, AudreyAnn and her husband Richard King of Kent, CT, Thomas P. and his wife Thanaporn of Baton Rouge, LA, Anthony J. and his wife Wendy of Whitingham, VT and TinaMaria also of Whitingham; 14 grandchildren, including 2 great grandchildren and their families, Taylor Acquaviva of Putney, VT, Alana Acquaviva of Nashua, NH, Michael G. Acquaviva and his wife Heather of Belmont, MA, Brianna Acquaviva and her husband Joseph. of Biddeford ME, Alysson Acquaviva of Arundel ME, Cadin Acquaviva of Arundel, ME, Marci Acquaviva of Boston, Timothy Acquaviva of Sydney, Australia, Richard King of Kent, CT, Evans Acquaviva of Breinigsville, PA and her two children Isabella and Makyla, Christopher Acquaviva of Tamaqua, PA, and Rheanna Acquaviva of Whitingham, VT; sisters and brother in law include: Frances and Anthony Spinazzola, of Raymond, NH.

Private services were held with her children in Townsend VT. Her children are planning a Celebration of Life Mass in Reading MA this coming April for family and friends to remember Audrey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 38 Park Pl#2 Brattleboro, VT 05301. Condolences may be offered at www.kerwesterlund.com.
