Barbara Jean Billings

Barbara Jean (Bailey) Billings, daughter of William Francis Bailey Sr and Betsy Elmira Devoid Bailey, born in Burlington Vermont July 10, 1938 departed this earth suddenly at Catholic Medical Center with her daughters by her side on September 6, 2014

Barbara, or Grambo, as her grandchildren knew her was a warrior. She was very talented in carpentry she would make wooden boxes for the kids. She made art easels, cribbage boards, and specially made handmade items for family members such as pewter saudered dragons on wooden bases. Barbara was a very talented seamstress and knitter. She enjoyed attending the weekly cribbage games with friends. She loved outdoor activities such as hunting, snowmobiling, riding horses in parades and sleigh riding. She loved working in the garden and was a master of improvising with the materials that she had to fix anything that needed fixing. She was tenacious on getting the project finished and made do with what she had. Barbara always wanted to please everyone and she did.

Barbara is predeceased by her two children Donald and Donna, her Mother and Father, brother Sonny, sister Florence, and brother Ernie. Surviving members of her family include her caring and loving husband Donald C Billings Sr, her loving brothers and sisters from Vermont brother, William Bailey Jr wife Blanch,brothers Kenneth Bailey, Lawrence and Roy Johnson, her sister Ginger husband Robert , Betty husband Louie and Mary; her loving son Donald C Billings II, her daughters Cindy O'Rourke, Linda Lonsberry, Valerie Longley , and Barb Clark; her grandchildren Matthieu, Aaron, Christopher, Donald C. III , Lindsey, Joshua, Christina,Tucker, Sadie, and Cassie and her seven great grandchildren Barbara is loved by many.

Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 172 King St., Boscawen, NH on Wednesday from Noon to 1:30 with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:30. Committal services will take place at 2:30 in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
