Barbara Jean (Sirois) Borders, 78, died Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, in Nashua, NH. She was born on September 10th, 1946, in Tracy Mills, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Gerald and Eva Sirois. She was the wife of Larry Borders. They were married on September 16th, 1965, in Andover, New Brunswick, Canada. Barbara and Larry spent 59 beautiful years of marriage together where they built a family and shared many travels.
Barbara met Larry when she went out for a night to dance. He was playing the drums that night and when the two met, it was the beginning of all their adventures. The pair would go on drives together to listen to Barbara's favorite types of music; 50's and 60's classics. As their life with each other grew, they would travel all around the world; having lived in England for 5 years, and Germany for another 5 years due to Larry's military assignments. Barbara enjoyed new experiences everywhere they went. She would explore the castles in Europe and learned interesting historical facts she loved to share with her family and friends. Locally, Barbara loved going on walks in Mines Falls in Nashua, NH. She loved trying new food, especially new breakfast spots with Larry, and always had a bright smile on her face no matter where she went.
Barbara and Larry had a son, Timothy, who she is sadly predeceased by, and a daughter, Lara. Barbara loved going on shopping trips and traveling with Lara. A trip back to Germany to the Christmas markets brought back special memories for Barbara and a beautiful trip to Italy and Sicily were truly special times spent as mother and daughter. Barbara had a fantastic sense of fashion that always complimented her cheery and kind-hearted personality. She was happy to share her love of fashion with her daughter, and her love of traveling with all her family, including extended family. If anyone asked her if she wanted to go on a trip, the answer was always going to be "Yes!". She went on many cruises with her family, enjoying every moment that she was able to spend with them. Barbara loved spending time with her kids and her grandkids, and cherished the time she had with them. Barbara shared a very special relationship with her nieces and nephews. They lovingly dubbed her the "Queen of Aunts." She will be remembered by them for her generosity, kindness and most memorably her sense of humor. She was always up for a funny joke or an opportunity for laughter. She could get anyone to laugh along with her.
She is predeceased by her son, Timothy Dana Borders; sister Betty Boomgaarden, and brother David Sirois.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Borders; daughter Lara Peck and her husband Lester Peck; sisters Shirley Stone and Judy Morgan; brother Dana Sirois; and her grandchildren, Weston Peck and Adelaide Peck, as well as many other loving family and friends.
