BARBARA (SMITH) BOYCE
LISBON, NH â Barbara (Smith) Boyce, 77, passed away at her home on January 27th, after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Barb was born on February 20, 1941, a daughter to Burl and Doris (Jenks) Smith in Littleton, NH.
Barb loved her flowers, gardening, music and dancing. She was very knowledgeable with antiques and enjoyed going to yard sales. She also loved the outdoors, fishing and camping. She loved all her family fiercely. She enjoyed her winters in Florida with her husband Don.
Barb worked many of her early years in factories and managing gift shops at Lost River and working the concessions at Cannon Mountain.
She owned a siding business with her son, Roger and her husband in Winchester for many years.
Missing her family, they sold the business and moved back to Lisbon where she resided until her death.
Barbara leaves her husband, Donald B. Boyce, of Lisbon, NH; a sister Millie Nelson of Littleton, NH; her 5 children, Roger W. Smith of Landaff, NH, Janice M. Choate and her husband Raymond of Concord NH, Brian Smith and wife Karen of West Thompson, VT, Sheila J. Hurlbert and her husband Scott of Lisbon, NH, Lori Robbins and husband Larry of Bath. Also step-children, Douglas Boyce, David Boyce, and Donna Boston, 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Burl and Doris Smith, sisters Laurabelle Thibedeau, Thelma Lewis, brothers Orison Smith, Roger Whitcher, Robert Whitcher, Wesley Whitcher, Donald Whitcher. and a great-granddaughter Attalie Jane Robbins.
SERVICES â A Memorial Service will be held on February 9th. at 11:00 AM in the United Shared Ministry Church (White Church) in Lisbon, NH with Rev. Lyn Winter officiating.
