Barbara W. Costello (Wimpenney), 82, passed away on March 20, 2026, after a brief illness at Riverwoods in Manchester, NH, where she lived for the past 4 years. Barabra was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 28, 1943, the daughter of William and Dorothy Wimpenney (King). Barbara was the wife of Fiore Costello, of whom she had been married for 59 years, before he passed away in 2024.

Barbara was known for her creative personality, and that took her to attending fashion school in New York in 1963 where she would earn her certificate in fashion from the Mayer School of Fashion Design in 1964. It was at this school where she would meet her beloved husband, Fiore, who was studying fashion as well. Barbara and Fiore were married in 1965, when their journey of love, family and travel began. When she was not busy helping Fiore manage their multifamily apartments in Manchester, the two of them would travel to many exotic destinations around the world. Many of these trips were on Viking River cruises.

She loved dancing and baton twirling, which she taught to many local students. If she wasn't dancing, you could either find her reading a good book or at the flower shop where she was a florist. Barbra appreciated everything in her life, especially her children and the life she led. She adored her daughter, Angela, and her son, Anthony "Tony". There was also a special place in her heart for Boston Terriers, two of her dogs, Bootsy and Bently were her favorites.

Barbara is predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Fiore Costello.

She is survived by her daughter Angela Grisafi and her husband Philip; her son Anthony "Tony" Costello and his wife Joy; grandchildren Gianna Sherman and Meghan Costello; as well as many other family and friends who loved her.

Assisting the family with arrangements is Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester. There will be a Visitation on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Immediately following, there will be her burial at Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH. The family invites all to attend to honor Barbara's life.

In lieu of flowers, Barbara would like any donations to go to the American Cancer Society to support research for breast cancer.
