Barbara (Robertson) Downton

Barbara (Robertson) Downton, 85, of Manchester, passed away on December 21, 2024, at Villa Crest Nursing Home following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

Born in Manchester on June 25, 1939, Barbara was the daughter of the late Frederick and Florence Robertson. As a lifelong resident of Manchester, she was a graduate of Manchester Central High School, class of 1957.

Barbara loved her family and will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with the people that she loved. Over the years, her selflessness to others was one of her greatest attributes. Her humor, smile and spirit will be dearly missed.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Ray, in 2019 and her brother, Ricky in 2022.

Barbara is survived by her son Michael Downton of Hooksett; her daughter Patti McGilvray of Hooksett; four wonderful grandchildren: Andrew (wife Lindsey), Melanie (fiance Carlo), Meaghan and Molly; great-grandchildren, CiCi and Callum; sister Carole Hudoba (husband Rod); sister-in-law Claire Robertson; nieces, nephews and her many friends.

Burial services will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date.
