Barbara E. Gamache, 75, passed away on January 10, 2019. Born in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of Charles H. & Evelyn (Fish) Buxton. She resided in Goffstown, NH for most of her life and spent her summers in Wells, ME for 10 years.
Barbara was a graduate of Manchester West High School. She worked at Velcro, Hillsborough County Nursing Home, and Riverside Campground. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church in Goffstown, NH, a member of the St. Lawrence Choir for many years, and also the St. Lawrence Trippers. She enjoyed the ocean and loved to crochet and knit.
Family members include her beloved husband of 58 years, Edward A. Gamache; three sons, Edward A. Gamache, Jr. and his wife, Tammy of Goffstown, Peter N. Gamache and his wife, Lynn of Weare, and Lawrence G. Gamache of Manchester; two daughters, Donna Hallee and her companion, Steve Glenn of Manchester, and Tammy L. Huckins and her husband, Jeff of Belmont; a sister, Betty Blanchard and husband Norm, and three brothers, George, Charles and Melvin (predeceased), all of Manchester.
The joy of her life was spending time with her grandchildren, Bobby Gamache and his wife, Tiffeny of Hooksett, Michael and Jeffery Gamache of Goffstown, Tim Hallee and his companion, Sabrina Milliard, Brian Hallee and his wife, Tabetha of Manchester, Tyler, Troy, Noah, and Molly Gamache of Weare, Nicole Diamond and her husband, Christopher of Goffstown, Melissa Luicha and her companion, Mike Antonis of Florida, and Samantha McDonough and her husband, Patrick of Hillsboro. She also leaves behind many great grandchildren whom she loved dearly, several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as special people in her life including Caroline Gilpatric, and Lynn Strong and family.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 17 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Phaneuf's Funeral Home on Coolidge Avenue in Manchester. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Lawrence Church in Goffstown, NH on Friday, January 18 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Barbara to the American Diabetes Foundation at PO Box 15929 Arlington, VA 22215.
